The IPL 2022 Mega Auction has concluded about a week ago and all the 10 franchises are ready with their respective squads. While some franchises were able to build very strong teams, some were unable to do so but all 10 of them look contented with their player list.
After all, winning the Indian Premier League does not solely depend on setting up a very good team on paper. The chemistry between the players and their performance on the ground is what matters after all. Probably that is why not many teams have been able to lift the prestigious IPL Trophy in its history of 14 long years.
However, another thing that matters the most in the Indian Premier League is finding the right captain. Not more than 6 captains have been able to lift the IPL trophy and there’s a good reason why. In a league as competitive as the IPL, you need a very good captain who can pave your path to victory. Rohit Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are good examples of that. They are the two most successful captains of the Indian Premier League.
