Matches are not played on paper and it is the on-field performance and chemistry that leads a team to victory.

1. Gujarat Titans (GT)
Gujarat Titans’ squad strength is a mixture of new and experienced players. They have shown in earlier matches what they are capable of. Irrespective of the players that they got, the Titans have proven that they know the winning formula that is needed to succeed in the Indian Premier League.

They have won the consecutive 3 matches of the tournament and it will be foolish to write them down. Their core team comprises five players who have been with the side for a very long time – Hardik Pandy, S Gill, Rashid Khan, Rahul Tewatia & David Miller
Hardik’s captaincy is one of the biggest elements that make Gujarat Titans such a big threat. He can pull off a great season with this comparatively weak GT squad as well.

2. Delhi Capitals (DC)
Although squad strength is not all that matters, the undeniable options, variety, and sheer potential that Delhi Capitals possess this year will definitely alarm the other teams.
Delhi Capitals under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant had both the best retention and the best buys in the Mega Auction of IPL 2022. They made some great additions to their team like Mitchell Marsh, David Warner, Shardul Thakur, Chetan Sakariya, Rovman Powell, and many more and have thus made their squad much stronger than last season.
Given the success that Delhi Capitals have had in the last few editions of the Indian Premier League, there’s absolutely no doubt that they will kill it with this much stronger squad. They are the favorites to not only qualify for the playoffs but also possibly become the table-toppers this season.

3. Punjab Kings (PBKS)
Punjab Kings is yet another side that had a great run in the Auction this season. After the departure of KL Rahul, Punjab Kings definitely seemed to be in trouble. However, they have turned the tables by completely revamping their squad after the Mega Auction.
They have bought the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada, Liam Livingstone, Shahrukh Khan, Rishi Dhawan, and Jonny Bairstow and thus strengthened their team to a great extent. Although their captain Mayank Agarwal has zero to no prior captaincy experience, he can be a surprise element and end up doing a great job leading the team.
Punjab has gotten all the ingredients needed to qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2022.
4. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
When Virat Kohli announced at the beginning of last season that it would be his last campaign as the captain of RCB, Bangalore fans were indeed very tense about the future of their beloved club. However, now that the team has been fully formed, they will definitely be relieved.
Having received a very experienced and able captain in Faf du Plessis, they can be relieved about finding the captaincy replacement for Virat. Moreover, the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel, Wandindu Hasaranga, and Mohammad Siraj have strengthened their bowling attack tenfolds.
With Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell totally in form and ready to kill it in IPL 2022, they can expect to qualify for the playoffs pretty easily this time around.
