Delhi Capitals (DC) IPL 2022 Journey, Predicted Release Players, And IPL 2023 Squad. After the completion of IPL 2022, the focus has shifted towards the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League, to take place in the first half of 2023. After the addition of two new teams in IPL 2022, the excitement among the fans has reached sky-high. It is expected that the next IPL edition will be an exciting event. Delhi Capitals, led by Rishabh Pant, has an average season in 2022. They were eliminated before the playoff, as they lost to Mumbai Indians in their last league match. Let us reflect back on the performance of the Delhi Capitals in the 15th edition of the IPL.

Delhi Capitals IPL 2022 Journey
Delhi Capitals were touted to be one of the favorites to win the IPL 2022, as they had one of the balanced teams. Players such as Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Rishabh Pant, Mitchell Marsh, Shardul Thakur, etc., formed a very formidable squad. However, Delhi could not live up to the expectation of the team management and fans, as they could win only 7 matches out of the 14.
Delhi had issues off the field, as their premier batsman Prithvi Shaw was ill for the initial few games. Mitchell Marsh and a few other players suffered from COVID, and the entire team was in a state of stress throughout the tournament.

Talking about the performance of the Delhi Capitals, they lacked consistency. The middle-order of DC could not contribute in a better way. David Warner was the most successful batsman for the franchise, scoring 432 runs in 12 innings. Apart from him, the rest batsman had an average outing. A lot was expected from Rishabh Pant, but he, too, could not get going.
Kuldeep Yadav was the best bowler for DC, picking 21 wickets. Rishabh Pant failed to take better decisions during the crucial moments of the last match against MI, which led to their downfall.
