IPL 2023: “I Am Still In The Game Boss” Rishabh Pant’s Cryptic Post Sparks Excitement For IPL Comeback. The third match of IPL 2023 will see Delhi Capitals facing off against Lucknow Super Giants on April 1 at Lucknow. Australian cricketer David Warner has been appointed the captain of Delhi Capitals, replacing injured Rishabh Pant, and Axar Patel will be his deputy in IPL 2023.
West Bengal wicket-keeper batsman Abhishek Porel is all set to be roped in as Rishabh Pant’s replacement in IPL 2023.
Rishabh Pant’s absence from the upcoming Indian Premier League will surely be felt by Delhi Capitals, as the permanent skipper sustained severe injuries in an accident on December 30, 2022. In a recent social media post, Pant dropped a clue to his fans about his plans during the upcoming cricket festival.
Rishabh Pant’s Zomato Ad Video
Reports indicate that Rishabh Pant stated in a promotional video that he would be “coming to play” in the upcoming IPL 2023 season, despite his absence caused by a serious accident in December 2022. The video, which was an advertisement for a food delivery app Zomato, gained widespread popularity on social media.
In the video, Pant revealed that his doctor had advised him to maintain a healthy diet during his rehabilitation process and expressed his eagerness to return to the cricket field. However, the absence of Pant will leave a significant void in the Delhi Capitals’ squad during their IPL 2023 campaign against the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants.
Rishabh Pant’s Injury
Rishabh is currently recovering from a serious accident that occurred near Roorkee on December 30. He was driving the car that unfortunately flipped over and caught fire. As a result, he suffered two major ligament tears – medial collateral (MCL) and anterior cruciate (ACL). This unfortunate incident forced him to undergo a rigorous rehabilitation process to recover from his injuries.
Following the tragic accident, Rishabh was first admitted to a hospital in Roorkee, where he received initial medical attention. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was then transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun for further treatment.
As his condition improved, he was then airlifted to Mumbai, where he continued his road to recovery with an unbreakable spirit. Last month, the valiant wicketkeeper-batter shared heartening photos of him walking on crutches, a true testament to his unwavering determination.
New Update About Rishabh Pant’s Comeback
Despite Pant’s injury, the Capitals recognize his invaluable contributions to the team and are making every effort to involve him in the upcoming campaign. In a recent interview, the team’s head coach, Ricky Ponting, expressed his enthusiasm about Pant’s potential involvement in some capacity during IPL 2023. He disclosed that he had spoken with Pant on a few occasions over the past few days and was working to incorporate him into the team.
Ponting believes that having Pant present in the dugout and the changing room would be a tremendous morale boost for the entire team, and he hopes that Pant’s mere presence would be enough to motivate the players to perform at their best.
