IPL 2023: List Of All Injured Players With Their Replacements. The 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is already halfway through its first week. In the opening match of the season, the defending champion Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings. While the resumption of the tournament’s home-and-away format was eagerly anticipated by fans, the teams have undoubtedly been disappointed by key players injuries.
While the teams were aware that certain players had already been eliminated from the competition, other cricketers had lately suffered injuries, and these last-minute changes have had an impact on team line-ups.
When Gujarat Titans’ star player Kane Williamson made his debut for the team on March 31, the tournament’s opening game was played at the renowned Narendra Modi Stadium. Williamson injured his knee after falling awkwardly while attempting to take a catch at the deep square leg boundary during Chennai Super Kings’ innings.

Due to these injuries, the teams are forced to find last-minute substitutes for the players, while a few franchises have chosen not to identify a replacement for the time being.

Before the commencement of the IPL, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and a few others were marked injured and ruled out. Nonetheless, Jonny Bairstow (PBKS) was on the mend, but the England and Wales Cricket Board denied him permission to play in the next Indian Premier League.
Shreyash Iyer who was previously kept under supervision is now ruled out of IPL 2023, KKR did add Shakib-al-Hasan to fill the finishing place they were lacking. But, KKR suffered a significant setback when Shakib AL Hasan opted out of the IPL. To replace their situation, KKR signed England’s explosive batsman Jason Roy.
Mukesh Choudhary, who made his IPL debut last season and took 16 wickets, is out of the 16th edition as he recovers from a Achilles Heel fracture. While he is one of CSK’s most promising young players, we can only hope that he will play in the next year.
Reece Topley, who made his debut for RCB, was also thought to fill in for Josh Hazelwood. Reece was hurt when taking a catch he collapsed on the boundary line and received immediate first aid. RCB is also in desperate need of Josh Hazelwood, who will join the team’s camp after mid-April. RCB chose not to designate a substitute for Patidar, while MI has not yet revealed the player who would take Jhye Richardson’s position in the team.
