Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula are set to battle it out for the 2025 Miami Open title on March 29. The Belrussian defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 6-2 6-2 in straight sets at the semi-final and Pegula crushed teenage wildcard Alexandra Eala 7-6(3), 5-7, 6-3.

Sabalenka and Pegula previously faced each other at the U.S. Open in 2024. Both players are in their best form and dominated the 2025 Miami Open. Now, they are set to clash for yet another title on American soil.

The World No. 1, who lost to Mirra Andreeva in the BNP Paribas Open final, is the sixth player to reach the final at Indian Wells and Miami in the same season after Kim Clijsters (2005), Maria Sharapova (2006, 2012, 2013), Victorica Azarenka (2016), Iga Swiatek (2022) and Elena Rybakina (2023).Sabalenka, 26, said Miami Open 2025 was one of the best matches in the season so far. She cruised through with 31 winners and 12 unforced errors.

Pegula turned around the game against Eala in the 2 hours and 26 minutes match. The American crucially broke serve at 5-3 after her opponent double-faulted on set point and nailed victory.

Aryna Sabalenka is the favorite and will likely sail through 6-2 against No. 3 Jessica Pegula in the 2025 Miami Open final. The 18x WTA Tour-level singles champion is in top shape and has recorded victories so far, with the only setback being in the Indian Wells final.

However, Pegula cannot be ruled off just yet. The 31-year-old is on her first Miami Open final. This will be a much watched finale.
