Jannik Sinner at Italian Open 2025
Italian Open 2025 will be World No. 1 Jannik Sinner’s first tournament since winning his second consecutive Australian Open title in January 2025. The 3x Grand Slam champion hasn’t been seen in any tournaments because of his ban in February in a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Sinner’s ban expires on May 4. The Italian Open will be his first tournament back. Paolo Lorenzi, the tournament director, said the important thing is that the Italian starts playing again. He highlighted that the fact that the tournament will be in Rome makes it even nicer for Sinner’s fans.
Italian Open organizers will give the champion a special hospitality box for him and his team, family, and friends to share some private space amid all the attention.
