Jannik Sinner And Holger Rune Withdraws From Paris Olympics 2024. With the countdown to the Paris Olympics nearing its end, Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune have withdrawn from the much-anticipated sporting event. Both tennis stars attributed their decision to their health.
Sinner withdrew from the Paris Olympics because of tonsillitis. He informed his fans and followers on social media that it’s a disappointment for him to miss the Summer Games. The World No.1 wanted to compete in the Olympics but was advised by the doctor to rest. Sinner, 22, shared that he has been feeling unwell after a good week of clay training. He expressed sadness of not being able to represent his country, Italy, at the Paris Olympics.
Rune also took to social media to say that he will not be playing at the Paris Olympics. He highlighted his wrist, saying that he played with pain in the wrist throughout the clay and grass season. The Danish professional tennis player said he is following medical advisory and will follow the Olympics from home and cheer for fellow Danish athletes.

This comes after the 21-year-old withdrew from a warm-up event at the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag. Rune wanted to rest his wrist to be able to play at the Olympics, but medical examinations showed that it wasn’t good. Paris 2024 would have been Rune’s first Olympics.
