This comes a day after the American won gold medals at four different Olympics – a first for a female swimmer. Ledecky retained her title in the women’s 1500m freestyle.

The swimming superstar made her Olympic debut in 2012 at 15. She made an impression on fans and fellow swimmers by winning gold in the 800m freestyle. There was no turning back for Ledecky, who just set record after record. She is an outstanding Olympian – grabbing titles from 200m to 1500m.
