Mirra Andreeva is set to face World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the final at Indian Wells 2025 after defeating Iga Swiatek 7-6(1), 1-6, 6-3 in the semi-final. The 17-year-old made her 11th consecutive victory to advance to the BNP Paribas Open final as the youngest player after Kim Clijsters in 2001.
Andreeva is working towards becoming the first teenager to win the women’s singles title at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden since Bianca Andreescu in 2019.

Mirra Andreeva Nearly Lost to Iga Swiatek
Mirra Andreeva said that it was a tough match against Iga Swiatek, 23. “After she killed me in the second set, I was just like, well okay, might just try to fight.” She admitted that there was not much she could do about it.
Andreeva praised the Polish tennis player, saying played amazingly. “I just decided to grind and fight for every point – it doesn’t matter how I put the ball in, but I have to put it in.” She did everything and in the end won.
The youngster shared that she felt so much confidence. “I felt like I’m going to go and play the tiebreak like its the last tiebreak of my life.”
