Novak Djokovic has yet again achieved another milestone at the 2025 Miami Open, this time breaking 20x Grand Slam champion Roger Federer’s record for the oldest Masters 1000 semi-finalist in history. At the age of 37 years and 10 months, the Serbian defeated Sebastian Korda 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
Djokovic shattered the record held by fellow G.O.A.T Roger Federer who was 37 years and 7 months when he reached the semi-finals and then the finals and won the Miami Open 2019. He also holds the record for the best-combined win rate of any male player at the Indian Wells and Miami Open. Nole boasts an 84.6 percent win rate, with 99 match wins and 18 defeats in the prestigious ‘Sunshine Double’ events.

Novak Djokovic Gives His Best Serve
In the quarter-finals against Korda, Novak Djokovic trailed 5-2 in the second set. He made a comeback and secured victory in a tie-break. He commended Korda, 24. He told Sky Sports that he was quite nervous because you never know what comes from the American. “He’s so aggressive, so talented, and can play any shot. I was on the back foot and it was a tense match.”
Djokovic shared that he was waiting for Korda’s error rather than dictating from the back of the court. “When I needed a first serve I got it but a tense match and great performance.” The 24x Grand Slam champion believes this was his best serving performance so far.
