With no contract extension from Liverpool, Mohamed Salah is likely to depart Anfield on a free this summer. Liverpool’s management has been unable to agree new deals with the striker, and it now appears that the Egyptian will move on.
Sources say Salah’s age may have been a concern despite his stellar form and performance. Mo Salah has been in the midst of his best-ever season for Anfield. However, his future with the Reds remains uncertain. Saudi Arabia Pro League clubs have been keenly following the developments at Liverpool and will likely swoop Salah away. This remains a very real prospect.
Mohamed Salah will be out of contract at the end of June and there has been nothing from the club he adores. In the summer of 2023, he was the subject of a whopping £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad. And now Al-Hilal is also in the picture. Saudi reports say Salah is intrigued by the offers coming from the kingdom. Saudi clubs remain undeterred in their pursuit of the ace footballer, who is the most high-profile Muslim footballer in the world.

Liverpool’s End If It Lets Mohamed Salah Go
Sports pundit Paul Merson is disappointed with how Liverpool has shied from renewing Mohamed Salah’s contract. He says if Anfield wants to keep on being successful and go again next year, it has to keep Salah and Virgil Van Dijk. Merson believes Van Dijik and Salah are the best in the business in their positions.
“If you lose Salah, you’re losing 30 to 40 goals a season. In football terms, it’s criminal – it’s criminal if you can let three top players – Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk – in the world of football have their contracts run down, and they could leave for absolutely nothing, go anywhere they want,” he told Sky Sports.
