All You Need to Know About Wimbledon 2024 Prize Money
Wimbledon 2024 has a record £50 million up for grabs. According to the official portal, the gentlemen’s and ladies’ singles champions and runner-ups will get £2.7 million and £1.4 million respectively, while the first round prize money for the singles competition is £60,000. The semi-finalists get £715,000 and the quarterfinalists £375,000.
Total prize money has doubled in the last 10 years – from £25 million in 2014 to £50 million in 2024. Deborah Jevans, Chair of the All England Club, said the prize money is £50 million. There are increases for players in every round and every event. The Club has also increased prize money for the wheelchair and quad wheelchair competitions to £1 million for the first time.
