PCB Files Complaint Against Suryakumar Yadav, Hearing Scheduled. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has submitted two official grievances against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for his comments during the post-match presentation and press conference after India won the Asia Cup against Pakistan.
The complaints assert that Yadav’s comments, by extension, politicized cricket and breached the ICC Code of Conduct, which encourages a neutral stance in international sports. In the post-match presentation, Yadav dedicated India’s victory to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. He showed solidarity with the Indian armed forces. While in the press conference, he reiterated that the Indian team did not shake hands post-match with their Pakistani counterparts on instructions from the BCCI and the Indian government.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed receipt of the complaints and is currently examining the situation. The match referee, Richie Richardson, has informed the Indian team management that a formal hearing may be convened. During this probable hearing, Yadav will have the option to either accept the charges or contest them when both the BCCI and PCB make written representations.

Suryakumar Yadav has, at this point, rejected any wrongdoing and will likely offer his defense during the hearing. The ICC’s resolution may have considerable ramifications for Yadav’s career and, more generally, for India-Pakistan cricket relations that are already strained following recent on-field controversies. More updates to come as the ICC progresses with its internal process and schedules the hearing.
