Asia Cup 2025 Final: India Crowned Champions

Asia Cup 2025 Final: India Crowned After Beating Pakistan By 5 Wickets. India claimed the Asia Cup 2025 trophy in an exhilarating manner, winning by 5 wickets against Pakistan, their arch-rivals, in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This was the first time in history the two sides had faced off in the Asia Cup final, and it certainly ensured the expectation was met.

Pakistan’s Collapse After Strong Start

Pakistan started fast, batting first as Sahibzada Farhan (57 off 38) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35) had a fantastic opening stand of 84. At 113/1, Pakistan was cruising toward a massive total. However, India’s spinners controlled the game for the Indians. Kuldeep Yadav (4/30) was the leader of the pack, with Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel taking two each. Pakistan collapsed dramatically, losing nine wickets for just 33 runs, and was all out for 146 in 19.1 overs.

India’s Nerve-Holding Chase

India chased 147, but their top order failed as Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill were all dismissed cheaply. However, Tilak Varma (58 off 48) played like a seasoned player, tracking the innings, and was supported by Shivam Dube in the middle overs. With 17 needed from the last two overs, India played calmly but was pressured. Pakistan decided to turn to Haris Rauf in the last over, but Rinku blasted a four and an eight. India finished the match with 5 wickets with a ball to spare.
