Asia Cup 2025: India Beat Bangladesh By 41 Runs To Reach Final. India delivered an outstanding all-round performance to secure a 41-run victory over Bangladesh during the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 contest at the Dubai International Stadium, thereby achieving qualification for the Final on September 28.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, India set a total of 168 runs at the loss of 6 wickets from their 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma once again was the standout performer. The young Indian opener gave India a fast start in the powerplay, scoring a superb 75 runs off 37 balls. Despite the middle order not capitalizing, a few aggressive knocks by Hardik Pandya propelled India’s total to a competitive mark. Bangladesh’s bowlers tried hard throughout the innings. Rishad Hossain took two massive wickets and Mustafizur Rahman showing his skill, taking him beyond the 150 T20I wickets mark, making him Bangladesh’s highest wicket-taker.

Spinners Proved Decisive

In reply to India’s total of 168 runs, Bangladesh started slowly. They lost their momentum once it was time for the Indian spinners to take charge. Kuldeep Yadav was supported by Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel. They kept the middle overs quiet, breaking key partnerships, and also putting pressure on the Bangladeshi batters with the required run rate climbing higher. Although Saif Hasan put up a fighting innings, Bangladesh could not get over the line, and their innings finished at 127 runs, and ultimately India’s margin of victory was 41 runs.

As a result of this victory, India not only stayed undefeated throughout the tournament but also booked their place in the Asia Cup 2025 final. The Men in Blue will await their opponent, to be established after the remaining Super 4 matches.
