2027 Men’s ODI World Cup Venues: South Africa To Host 44 Matches, Zimbabwe & Namibia 10. The International Cricket Council (ICC) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) released the venues for the 2027 Men’s ODI World Cup. It will be the first tournament staged in Africa since 2003. The event will take place in October-November 2027 with South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia as co-hosts.
South Africa to Host 44 Matches in Eight Venues
South Africa is heavily involved in the tournament with 44 matches across eight cities: Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, East London, and Paarl. These venues, from Johannesburg to Cape Town, reflect the strong cricket history of the country while also allowing for coastal and regional hubs.

Zimbabwe and Namibia as co-hosts
The remaining 10 matches will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia. In Zimbabwe, matches will be held at the Harare Sports Club and Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. Namibian matches will take place in Windhoek, marking the first opportunity for Namibia to host a World Cup. Namibia are yet to qualify for the tournament and as a non-fully-fledged ICC member, will have to go through the regular ICC pathway to qualify.
CSA has established a Local Organising Committee Board (LOCB), led by former cabinet minister Trevor Manuel, to coordinate preparations among the three host nations.

Format and Historical Context
The tournament will consist of 14 teams, using the Super Six format again. There will be two groups of seven, with the top three teams proceeding to the next stage and, thereafter, knockout matches.
This tournament is set to be historic—it is only the second time host nations will be South Africa and Zimbabwe (2003 was the first), and it is the first time Namibia will be a host nation.
