Ollie Pope becomes the First Player To Score Seven Centuries Against Seven Different Teams: Ollie Pope established an extraordinary achievement in Test cricket. He became the very first player in international cricket to score seven consecutive centuries against seven different teams.

This achievement was recorded in the third match between Sri Lanka and England, where he scored 154 runs. He achieved this remarkable record, which spanned over four years and involved many major cricketing nations.

In 2020, Pope scored his maiden century against South Africa, followed by hundreds in New Zealand (2022), Pakistan (2022), Ireland (2023), India (2024), and the West Indies (2024), and the last one now against Sri Lanka. This series demonstrates how versatile he is in dealing with various playing conditions and opponents. Notably, he recorded a brilliant innings of 196 runs under difficult circumstances playing against India at Hyderabad during early February 2024.

This makes it more significant yet, because Pope has encountered a variety of battering positions and pitches in his cricketing career, which shows how regular and professional he is as a middle-order batter. Therefore, at the age of 26 years, he is seen as an important person in the England Test setup, with the last innings he played as an acting captain adding to his strengthening leadership resume.

Under pressure and against top sides, he performs so well that he is now recognised as such an important player for England; this has led many cricket analysts to believe that he would be their next permanent Test captain too.
