IPL 2024: Five Players Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Can Target In The Auction. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the 2012 and 2014 IPL champions, have failed to capture another championship in the past nine seasons. After winning six and losing eight of their fourteen games, KKR finished seventh in the IPL 2023. The team would want to start again with a new coach in charge Chandrakant Pandit. To strengthen their team in preparation for the upcoming season, they must be active during the trade window.
Following the injury, the captaincy was passed to the youthful Nitish Rana by the team management. Although Rana performed a good job as captain, winning five of twelve games. Despite having some significant players like Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Tim Southee, and Shardul Thakur, KKR failed to produce.
KKR would undoubtedly seek to improve its performance in the next Indian Premier League (IPL) season. In the IPL 2024 auctions, Kolkata will be looking for some pretty strong players. Despite having a strong all-around assault, KKR is lacking in the bowling department, and the position for a permanent opener batsman is also vacant.

5 Players Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Can Look Out For IPL 2024
Gerald Coetzee (South Africa)
Gerald Coetzee turned out as a match-winner for the Joburg Super Kings in SA20 2023. Surprisingly, CSK did not sign him at the IPL Auction or as a substitute player for the 2023 season. Kolkata can take advantage of this and bring in the South African speedster.
Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe)
Sikandar Raza is the captain and a star player for Zimbabwe. Raza has shown himself as a top batting all-rounder, seeing his skills no one can argue that he can bat at any number. In IPL 2023, he has routinely scored runs in the middle order while also grabbing wickets with his off-spin bowling. Sikandar Raza might be an ideal fit for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Josh Little (Ireland)
Josh Little, the new Irish star, has lit up the world bowling scene with his incredible bowling achievements. He has played in 26 T20Is this year, taking 39 wickets at an economy of 7.58 and an average of 18.92, which is impressive considering he bowls a lot in the tail end of the innings. Little might be one of the finest additions to the KKR’s bowling order.

Dilshan Madushanka (Sri Lanka)
The Kolkata Knight Riders should explore bringing in a left-arm pacer to diversify their bowling arsenal, which currently includes right-arm pacers Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, and Harshit Rana. Dilshan Madushanka of Sri Lanka, who shined against India in the Asia Cup, may be one of the choices. KKR may opt for Dilshan since his price is minimal and his present form can set the tone for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 auction.
Mayank Agarwal (India)
Mayank Agarwal is a popular IPL player who has appeared in over 200 games. Agarwal is also one of the few players in the Indian Premier League who have scored over 2500 runs. Mayank played for RCB and Punjab in the IPL before joining Hyderabad last year. He also opened for several IPL seasons. SRH may release him owing to his poor performance this year and KKR may pursue him since he can fill the position of KKR’s opener batsman.
