As per reports, Punjab Kings might appoint a new captain in place of Shikhar Dhawan as the team performance was below par under his captaincy and he could even be released.

Kuldeep was bought for a sum of INR 20 lakhs by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the 2023 season but Punjab Kings would like to target him as they need someone to partner left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. Kuldeep could be seen as a long-term option by the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

2. Mujeeb Zadran
The 22-year-old Afghanistan off-spinner possesses a lot of variety. The off-spinner can outsmart the batsmen with his drift, turn, and wrong ones. Mujeeb is also a tricky operator when it comes to delivering the carom ball. His ability to make the batsmen play the wrong line is his biggest strength.
He was bought for a sum of INR 4 crore by Punjab Kings in 2018 but in 2021 he was bought for INR 1.5 crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has done a decent job in the limited chances he got in the IPL. He took 14 wickets in 11 IPL games in 2018, and 3 wickets in 5 IPL games in 2019. Overall he has claimed 19 wickets in 19 IPL games so far with the best figures of 3/27. Punjab Kings might go for him for IPL 2024.
3.Harry Brook
The 24-year-old England International was paid an astounding INR 13.25 crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad but the right-hander didn’t perform as per expectations except scoring a century against Punjab Kings. Although these are still early days to predict his capabilities as a dashing hitter as it was his first IPL season.
Brook can hit the ball a long way as he can be brutal if he gets going. Brook can be pouched by Punjab Kings as a pinch hitter for IPL 2024. as he can be as destructive as Liam Livingstone. He scored 190 runs in 11 IPL games with a strike rate of 123.38.
4. Rovman Powell
The 30-year-old was bought for a sum of INR 2.80 crore by Delhi Capitals for the 2022 season but the Jamaican could hardly make an impression in the 16th edition as he got to play just 3 matches in the entire season. The burly right-hander can destroy any bowling lineup on his day with his destructive power and strength.
He scored 250 runs in 14 IPL games during the 2022 season with a strike rate of 146.02 and a highest score of an unbeaten 67. He can be an added bonus for any side if he clicks so Punjab Kings might bet on him for IPL 2024.
