IPL 2024: Four Players Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Can Target In The Auction. The IPL 2023 season stood up to its expectations as the tournament witnessed some exciting contests including the final. Mumbai Indians (MI), Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants & Chennai Super Kings were the four teams to qualify for the playoffs. Chennai Super Kings highlighted why they are still the best and MS Dhoni once again showcased his clever leadership skills.
One team who couldn’t stand up to his reputation was Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Despite the team consisting of some big match winners like Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, etc the team failed to make it to the playoffs. RCB is one of the teams who yet to won the IPL trophy, others are DC, LSG, and PBKS.
The franchise owners as well as the team management have already begun to mark the players who they can target in IPL 2024 auction. In this piece, we will discuss players who the RCB might target in the 2024 season.
1. KL Rahul
The 31-year-old was bought for a hefty sum of INR 17 crores by the Lucknow Super Giants. KL Rahul is one of the most consistent batsmen of the Indian Premier League. The right-hander scored 274 runs in 9 IPL games with a strike rate of 113.22 during the 2023 season. Rahul has showcased impressive adaptability in all formats but his recent form is a cause of concern.
If LSG management releases KL Rahul than RCB might take a chance with him as the India opener experience can be a vital addition at the top. His temperament to shine under pressure is what makes him special. He can take the opposition bowlers by surprise with his aggressive yet elegant style of play.

The all-rounder has taken 45 wickets in his IPL career so far and these are decent figures. His best bowling figures are 4/34 in the IPL. The pacer can surprise with his pace and bounce.
The 30-year-old can cause problems with his clever seam movements and slower ones. RCB will look to bring him into the dugout as Cummins is also a handy batsman lower down the order who can play the big shots when needed.
3. Sandeep Sharma
The right-arm medium pacer has loads of experience in bowling in different conditions and situations in the IPL. The 30-year-old was bought for a sum of INR 50 lakhs by Punjab Kings (PBKS) during the 2022 IPL season. He has so far taken 124 wickets in 116 IPL games with the best bowling figures of 4/20.
Sandeep can swing the ball late while his slower ones are more than effective on slower wickets. The Punjab medium pacer has been a penetrative option during the death overs in the IPL as he can stop the flow of runs with full-length deliveries. RCB owners will surely target Sandeep Sharma to add options in the pace department.
