ODI World Cup 2023: Team South Africa Schedule and Squad. The ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on October 5 and end on November 19. It is the most sought-after cricket event. This year’s World Cup will include ten teams competing in twelve different cities. India will serve as the host for this 13th edition of the World Cup. A total of 45 group stage matches will be played in a round-robin format.
South Africa debuted in Cricket World Cup on 26 February 1992, since then they have never won a single World Cup. After more than 30 years, the Proteas continue their fight for the first title with the hopes of taking one home at CWC 2023. South Africa has also jointly hosted the 2003 World Cup with Kenya and Zimbabwe.
The South African team has appeared in a total of eight World Cups and appeared in the semi-finals five times. Even though they have an outstanding squad that includes players like David Miller, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada and Temba Bavuma. the South African side has a history of struggling in big battles. However, Team South Africa just succeeded in qualifying the Super 8 of ODI World Cup 2023, following the cancellation of the opening ODI between Ireland and Bangladesh in Chelmsford due to continuous rain.
