ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE (RCB) Team History
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is a franchise cricket team of IPL which is based in Bangalore. It was founded in the year 2008 by United Spirits and named after its liquor brand Royal Challenge. The team plays its home matches at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore.

The Bangalore franchise was purchased by the renowned figure Vijay Mallya, for US$111.6 million. This was incidentally the second-highest bid for an IPL team, next only to Reliance Industries’ bid of US$111.9 million for Mumbai Indians. The brand value of this team was estimated to be around 595 crores (US$83 million) in 2019, according to a survey.
E Sala Cup Namde” is the slogan of the RCB fans which means in English: ‘this time, the cup is ours’.
