Monaco (2015-16)
After being picked up for Monaco B, Mbappe rose through the ranks, and in a matter of just three weeks, he earned a place in the senior team. He debuted in December 2015 against Caen. Mbappe Monaco’s youngest ever first-team player at the age of 16 years. He broke Thiery Henry’s record of 21 years. In March 2016, Mbappe signed his first professional three-year contract with the club.

Paris Saint Germain (2017-Present)
In August 2017, PSG signed Mbappe on a loan from Monaco. But Mbappe wanted to find a place in the starting XI of a prestigious club. Mbappe’s full transfer cost PSG €145 million-plus €35 million add-ons. This made him the most expensive teenager and the second most expensive player in the world after his PSG teammate Neymar Junior.
He scored a goal on his debut against Metz. Kylian scored his 10th Champions League goal against Bayern Munich in December which made him the youngest player to reach that at the age of 18.
PSG won the league in the 2018/19 season and with 33 goals Mbappe received the Player of the year award for being the top goal scorer. In the following season, he was the joint top scorer in Ligue 1 along with Monaco’s Ben Yedder. But Mbappe was given the trophy owing to his better goals-per-game ratio. PSG won the Ligue 1 again but they lost in the UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
In the 2020/21 season, Kylian became the youngest player to reach 20 Champions league goals. However, the record was overtaken by Erling Haaland in the same year. Mbappe became the third player to score a hat-trick against Barcelona in UEFA Champions League. He became PSG’s third-highest goalscorer with only Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani getting more goals for the club.

Mbappe scored two goals in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich. But PSG was eventually eliminated by Manchester City in the semi-finals. Mbappe missed the second leg due to a calf injury. He became the top scorer in Ligue 1 in 2020/21 but PSG missed out on the league title to Lille.
