An axe looms over Erik ten Hag’s head as Manchester United management has given him a two-game ultimatum. The next two matches against Brentford on October 19 and Fenerbahce on the 24th are crucial for ten Hag. Word is that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made up his mind about the coach. He told BBC Sports that he likes Erik and thinks that he is an excellent coach.
But Ratcliffe added that it’s not his call to make. “It’s the management team that’s running Manchester United that has to decide how best we run the team in many different respects,” he highlighted. “They’ve not been there a long time, so they need to take stock and make some sensible decisions.”

Manchester United and Erik ten Hag’s Future
The Man Utd boss said the management has made a very clear objective to get Manchester United back to where it should be. After Friday’s meeting, Ten Hag remains the coach but the pressure is on him more than ever to steer the club towards a much-needed win.
Manchester United managed to end the last two games in a draw. Ten Hag in a post-match news conference had revealed that internally the club was disappointed and the team knows that it has to do better.
