It was a thrilling night for Cristiano Ronaldo fans, as Portugal crushed Denmark 5-3 in the Nations League quarter-final match in Lisbon. Ronaldo continued his streak of missed penalties, but the star player played a crucial role in Portugal’s 5-3 victory.

Cristiano Ronaldo also scored his 929th career goal, a milestone and celebration for the Portuguese captain. However, he missed a penalty for Portugal. Ronaldo’s team took an early lead thanks to Joachim Andersen’s own goal from Denmark in the 38th minute.

Ronaldo wanted to take Portugal up from inside the six-yard box but the shot was ruled out because of an offside in the build-up. He reacted to a rebound off the post from Bruno Fernandes’ shot and made the score 2-1 for Portugal. For Denmark, Christian Eriksen scored a goal and provided an assist in the 76th minute. Trincao then set the third goal for the Danes, scoring in the 86th minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Penalty Misses For Portugal

Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo is not that good with penalties. He tried to make a goal for Portugal but was saved by Kasper Schmeichel. This marked Ronaldo’s 32nd missed penalty of his career, nine of which have come in Portugal’s matches. He had previously missed a penalty against Denmark in 2006.

Portugal vs. Denmark was a thrilling match, with the Danes pressing and dominating into the second half. The Portuguese counter-defended and secured a spot in the semi-final. After crushing Denmark, Portugal will face Germany in the semi-finals.
