Guardiola worked with Messi for four years at FC Barcelona and won three La Liga titles and two Champions League – Messi scored 211 goals in 219 games under Guardiola’s managership. Recent reports highlight that Guardiola rejected Ronaldo’s contract in 2021. And since then the two have shared a frosty relationship.
Ronaldo went on to sign a Saudi Pro League deal with Al-Nassr. The Manchester City manager in his book Sky Books revealed that the Portuguese footballer wouldn’t have been the correct fit for the team. However, it stated that Guardiola respected Ronaldo’s immense ability to finish chances and his physical form.
