After reeling in Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, Real Madrid is keen on having Bruno Fernandes on their side for a whopping £90 million. The Portuguese have helped Man Utd get through a difficult season. He has been a key player for the cash-strapped club since 2020.
Ruben Amorim wants Fernandes to stay on at Old Trafford, despite the heavy bid by the Spanish club. The mid-fielder has made 177 goal contributions in 277 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United, including 12 goals and nine assists in 27 games under Amorim.
According to a report by Daily Star, Real Madrid sent scouts to virtually every Red Devils match recently to watch Bruno Fernandes, 30, in action. He is viewed as a potential successor to Luka Modric. Word is that Amorim is likely to consider Real Madrid’s offer as Manchester United is facing a financial crunch. After Fernandes scored a hat-trick for Man Utd against Real Sociedad in the Europa League, earlier this month, Amorim said Fernandes is always there for the Red Devils whenever needed.
He told the media that the Portuguese can change position, bring the ball forward, score goals and make transitions. “Fernandes can defend so he’s a perfect captain for our team and we need to help him to win titles because he deserves a lot.”

Bruno Fernandes Real Madrid Deal To Outshine Cristiano Ronaldo
Bruno Fernandes is under contract with Manchester United until 2027. But if the Red Devils accept Real Madrid’s bid, the £90 million transfer will shadow the £80 million that the Spanish club paid for Cristiano Ronaldo in June 2009. Fernandes moved to Man Utd from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020 in a £68 million deal.
Bruno Fernandes is ambitious to overtake Andy Cole and Ole Gunnar Solskajer in the Manchester United’s goalscoring charts. He wants to make 300 appearances for the club.
