Lucknow Super Giants Retained Players IPL 2022
New IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants have had an excellent draft ahead of IPL 2022. They drafted three players namely captain KL Rahul (17 crores), Marcus Stoinis (9.2 Crores), and Ravi Bishnoi (4 Crores).
It is a perfect blend of experience and young blood that the Lucknow management has opted for and they are seemingly on the correct path to building a great team in IPL 2022.

However, they still have about 22 players more to be bought from IPL 2022’ Mega Auction and it will basically set the whole mood for not only this season but for many seasons to come as the franchises are having to build their squads from scratch this season. Moreover, being a new team, the pressure is definitely ten times on Lucknow Super Giants.

Lucknow Super Giants Target Players
Lucknow SuperGiants already have three players in three different departments and they shall now have to build upon that core team (KL Rahul – Batsman, Marcus Stoinis – All-rounder & Ravi Bishnoi – Spinner).
First, let us talk about the batters that Lucknow Super Giants can target. Well, they need an opener first and Shikhar Dhawan, Devdutt Padikkal, and Quinton De Kock can be good options that they can consider. If they can try out some young options, U19 player Harnoos Singh can also be a good player that Lucknow can target.

Coming on to the middle-order batters, Lucknow can go all-in for Mitchell Marsh who is in tremendous form right now. Moreover, he is an all-rounder and they are covered for a spare 2-3 overs as well. Given that Lucknow already has Marcus Stoinis in their team, buying Mitchell Marsh will be a smart decision as the Stoinis-Marsh duo could prove to be spectacular.
Among others, they can also consider Ishan Kishan, Manish Pandey, and Shimron Hetmyer. Among all-rounders, anyone out of Mohammad Nabi and Shakib Al Hasan might prove to be good recruitment.

Selecting bowlers will be a tricky part for Lucknow though. They already have Ravi Bishnoi and thus they can go with one extra spinner.
