The incredible Aryna Sabalenka defeated China’s Zheng Qinwen 6-1 6-2 in the quarterfinal and is set to face Emma Navarro. The Belarusian gave it her all to triumph over the Paris Olympic gold medalist. Sabalenka channeled her inner Roger Federer to seal this victory.

She has emerged as the first woman since Serena Williams, who made six between 2011 and 2016, to reach four straight US Open semifinals. Sabalenka, 26, dominated the match against Qinwen with powerful serves. The Chinese reacted by lashing out at her coaching team and angrliy pointed her racquet at them.

Sabalenka had a showdown in 2023 but lost out to Coco Gauff. And this time around, with the  World No. 2 out of the picture, she is looking at taking the title home.

Aryna Sabalenka Calming Nerves

Sabalenka has been making waves on the courts and proving that she is the champion. She talked about pressure, saying that she doesn’t think about it much these days as it’s just tennis. The tennis player highlighted that she previously didn’t even know how to manage that pressure and would think too much about tennis and just waste her energy on that.

The former World No. 1 said these days, she is trying to make things easier. Sabalenka is trying to bring her best tennis every time and trying to fight for it. “I know that no matter what’s going to happen on the court, I’m going to fight it.” But it hasn’t been easy for the former World No. 1. A shoulder injury forced her to withdraw from the French Open in July and luckily found her form for the American tournaments

Sabalenka believes that if it’s meant to be, it will surely happen.
