IPL 2024 Auction: Most Expensive Buy Of All 10 (MI, CSK, RCB, GT, KKR, RR, PBKS, SRH, DC, LSG) Teams. Countdown begins for the IPL 2024 mini-auction. 332 players will go under the hammer at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on December 19 for 77 available slots. 10 IPL teams will spend 262.95 cr to buy the finest players for the 17th season which is expected to start from 22 March.
Gujarat Titans have the highest remaining purse of 38.15 cr while Lucknow Super Giants have the lowest purse of 13.15 cr. 213 Indians and 116 foreign players will take part in the auction. This is the first time of Indian Premier League history that auction is going to be held out of India. Cricketers have been divided in 19 sets. Mallika Sagar will be auctioneer.
Some Indian players, like Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel, and uncapped Shahrukh Khan could fetch a big amount. Shardul Thakur and Patel have set their base price at Rs 2 crore, while Shahrukh Khan has set a base price of Rs 40 lakh. Among all-rounders, Australian Pat Cummins, South Africa’s Gerald Coetzee, Sri Lankan Wanindu Hasaranga, and New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra are two to watch out for.

Last year English all-rounder Sam Curran became the most expensive buy in IPL history. Curran was bought by Punjab Kings with a whooping 18.50 cr.
