IPL 2024 Auction: Shardul Thakur Sold To CSK For 4 Cr. 32-year-old Bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur started his IPL career with Punjab Kings in 2015. PBKS bought him at 20 lakhs. In 2017 he was acquired by Rising Pune Supergiants at 20 lakhs. In 2018 he was bought by Chennai Super Kings at the whooping price of 2.60 cr. Shardul join Delhi Capitals in 2022 at 10.75 cr. Last year Kolkata Knight Riders spent 10.75 on Thakur but this year they released him before the auction.
Thakur’s T20I stats (33 wickets in 25 matches with a 28.38 average) hint at his game-changing ability, especially his knack for crucial wickets, tight death overs, and handy runs down the order.
