Novak Djokovic is into the quarter-finals and Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals at 2025 Miami Open after defeating Lorenzo Musetti and Qinwen Zheng, respectively. The Serbian triumphed 6-2, 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the ATP Masters event on Tuesday evening, while Sabalenka won 6-2, 7-5 against the Chinese No.9 seed.
Djokovic was in complete form and performed best with G.O.A.T Serena Williams and Juan Martin Potro, former No. 3 in men’s singles, at the Hard Rock Stadium. Despite the rain, he crushed the No. 15 seed to reach his 8th Miami quarter-final and first since winning the 2016 title. Djokovic sealed victory when Musetti double-faulted.
Djokovic highlighted his appreciation for Miami, saying the city has always been good to him. About his latest victory, the World No. 1 said it always comes at the right time of the season, bringing the right energy.

He has the same dedication, but it’s challenging for him to maintain that level. “But when I’m playing the way I played in all the three matches here, particularly Tuesday, I’m enjoying myself and I still prove to myself and others that I can play at the highest level.
Djokovic will face Sebastian Korda in the quarter-finals.

Aryna Sabalenka First Time Into Miami Open Semi-Final
Aryna Sabalenka claimed victory over Zheng Qinwen in the quarter-final, what seemed to be a rematch of the 2024 Australian Open final. The Belarusian will face Jasmine Paolini in the semi-final on Thursday.
This is the first time that Sabalenka, 26, has made it into the Miami Open semi-finals. The 3x Grand Slam champion has won 16 of her 18 WTA singles titles on hard courts. The quarter-final against the Olympic gold medalist wasn’t easy. Zheng read Sabalenka’s serve in the second set and brokered her three consecutive times to lead the set 4-2.
But Sabalenka held on and made a break through from 0-40 down to hold for 4-4. She then took charge with punishing service returns to break for 6-5. Sabalenka nailed the victory.
