Liverpool Has A Long Way To Go
Arne Slot applauded Liverpool’s latest win, saying the team has a long road ahead. He said the players understand that six games into the season don’t give a realistic view of the league table. Slot believes it helps if you get some good results, especially if there’s a new manager and you are a successor to such a successful team/club.
The Liverpool manager said everyone understands that if the team had lost four or five of the first six fixtures, life would have been a bit different from how it is now. He highlighted that the boys still have to prove that if it comes across Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea, and Aston Villa if Liverpool can still be up there, including the Champions League games.
Slot spotlighted the challenges of form and injuries playing in the Champions League and then playing top teams like Arsenal and Aston Villa, and then going into the international phase. He feels Liverpool has a lot to prove.
