European football will witness one of the biggest deals coming January, as Premier League clubs are eyeing Josh Acheampong, touted to be one of the most highly-rated player in Chelsea.
Over the years, the Chelsea Academy has been churning out great footballers with the likes of John Terry, Peter Bonetti, and Jimmy Greaves, as well as Reece James, among others. And now it’s Acheampong’s turn.
The 18-year-old will make some innings this coming January. Reports highlight that Real Madrid is keen to sign Acheampong. The La Liga club will have him play at the right-back or backline. Real Madrid is likely to rush it up given Dani Carvajal and Joan Martinez’s injuries.
Word is that Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are also interested in signing him.

Chelsea Has High Expectations of Josh Acheampong
Chelsea has a contract with Josh Acheampong till 2026 and sees him as a crucial player for the club’s future. The youngster joined Chelsea as an under-8 player. And now as an 18-year-old, Acheampong has made two appearances for the first team; he played for the Blues against Tottenham last season.
Enzo Maresca is not ready to put him in more games but believes the footballer has the potential to become Chelsea’s key player. He told reporters that he likes Acheampong and he can be a top defender in the near future.
Maresca added that he likes to modify young players as they can change quickly but the clubs have to moderate them.
