The game included some fireworks from Nitish Kumar Reddy, who scored a quick-fired 74 off 34 balls on his first international fifty.

In the second innings, Bangladesh never looked like threatening the imposing target of 221 runs set by India. The accuracy of Indian bowlers was commendable, as Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar dismissed two Bangladeshi batsmen for a mere 40 runs within the first 5 overs of the innings. Varun Chakravarthy was also effective as a bowler, as he removed Litton Das, an important Bangladeshi batter, in his very first ball.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Towhid Hridoy attempted to get the innings back on track, but the rest of the Indian bowlers, including Riyan Parag and Mayank Yadav, struck with wickets continuously. Under severe pressure, Bangladesh’s middle and lower orders succumbed, scoring only 135/9 in their respective 20 overs, losing the match by 86 runs and falling behind 0-2 in the series.
