Liverpool has mainly been in a slumber this transfer season but has roused up just in time before all the promising players have been scooped up. Arne Slot said despite having a great lineup, the club is always looking to strengthen the squad with fresh talent.
Soon enough, Liverpool highlighted its interest in Martin Zubimendi. But there hasn’t been any feedback from the Spanish footballer. Word is that Zubimendi intends to stay with Real Sociedad. The La Liga club managed to convince the 25-year-old to reject Liverpool and promised him a brand new contract.
However, Anfield hasn’t given up its bid for Zubimendi and has left it to him to make the final decision – take-it-or-leave-it. The young footballer had initially given his word to join Liverpool but backtracked.

Now Real Sociedad is facing challenges in formulating a new contract for Zubimendi. The midfielder is playing hardball, and it’s like tit for tat for the La Liga club as it had done the same to the Premier League Club Liverpool.
